China Express Logistics North-West Operations Centre is wholly operated by Shaanxi Zhongkuaiyun Logistics Co., Ltd. Founded in Xi'an in 2008, the company is dedicated to providing personalised high-quality global logistics solutions, multi-business operating innovation and supply-chain-driven services. Through on-site visits and practical work at the company, the students gained first-hand exposure to real logistics operations and grew rapidly by solving real-world problems.
This practical session also reflects our university's commitment to building a unified "awareness-cognition-capability" framework for management majors: using knowledge to "learn while doing" and "think while learning"; using cognition to make students "learn through thinking" and "act through thinking"; and using capability to allow students to "reflect through action" and "learn through action". This framework is at the same time a method for developing the decision-making potential of future economics and management leaders.
At the undergraduate stage, the KCC platform helps students develop the latent qualities of an outstanding decision-maker. Drawing on competency theory and models of high-performing management decision-makers, the platform builds the foundational capability and cognitive system for management majors. The KCC mentor system enables point-to-point teaching, with tailored development plans for each student's characteristics. During the learning process, teachers can monitor each student's progress in real time, diagnose gaps based on the questions answered, and deliver targeted instruction.
Finally, the logistics-management students of our university formally signed an undergraduate cultivation and research-practice base agreement with China Express Logistics North-West Operations Centre. We believe the students will gain a great deal from this enterprise — one that inherits the century-old China Merchants Group DNA — and grow together with its customers.
